Where Can I Quickly Learn About Using WIFI?

#1 Post by KCDoug » Sat Apr 02, 2005 1:29 pm

Believe it or not - I've never used WIFI. Don't have it at work (wired T1) and don't have an immediate need to set one up at home. However, I do travel regularly and believe airports and some hotels have access, and of course my new T42 has the Intel WIFI b/g capability.

I'd like to get up to speed on the basics:

1. How to use/configure and make it work on the T42;

2. Use it - or try to use it - in airports and other public places? Is it free, do I have to sign-up with a service like Sprint or Verizon - pros and cons to connectivity options.

Thanks for any pointers and info. references.
