X210 - change BIOS chip size from 8MB to 16MB (guide)

#1 Post by flyingfishfinger » Tue May 05, 2020 9:19 pm

Hi there-
I wrote up an article on how to change the size of the BIOS chip from 8MB to 16MB. This is useful if you're running coreboot, then you'll have more space for more / larger payloads.

It's not TECHNICALLY specific to Thinkpads - the method should work for any platform. I just did it on the X210 for the X210, so I figured it might be interesting to some people here.

Enjoy,
