51nb T70 Motherboard Schematic?

#1 Post by mochiman123 » Mon May 11, 2020 8:25 pm

Is the T70 motherboard schematic publicly available? I recently had a power surge through one of the USB 3.0 ports on my T70 and it killed the board. I identified 3 burnt capacitors and was hoping to find out their specifications and try replacing them myself.
Here's a picture of the issue: https://imgur.com/nFeUsEq
Looking to replace C330-C332 if possible.

unfortunately this is something "closed source" and is a property of 51nb and the board-development company in shenzhen... which means they won't share the schematic with you.
it's reasonable because they provide lifelong paid warranty with only 200 rmb for simple issues like yours maybe and more than that if the south bridge or the cpu breaks, but it is still a super cheap price comparing to larger companies like apple...
however as for your situation i personally suggest to ask your original seller and see if they can help you to get that board back to the 51nb offices...

51nb won't be able to supply these schematics. It's the intellectual property of the ODM and the designs are close-sourced with only relevant schematics (eDP, M.2 etc) released for building the rest of the laptop. Your best bet is to find your original supplier and get it shipped back for repairs.
