Very nice preview ;)

The P53 for the first time comes with a very nice slimline (slimmer) version of 230W AC adapter only available upon purchase of P53.
The P52 and earlier models had the older HUGE 230W AC adapters (we also have one of this older 230W at hand to compare).

This is very similar to what happened to X1 Extreme (1st Gen), where one can only get that slimline version of 135W AC adapter only available upon purchase of X1E1 and X1E2.

ie: For now, one cannot just go out and buy that slimline version of 230W AC adapter (or slimline version of 135W AC adapter for that matter).

At a slight tangent:
We would buy more slimline 135W AC adapters for our X1E1 in a heartbeat if it's available for individual buying without yet more new ThinkPad purchases.
We are actually holding off from buying more slimline 135W AC adapters until it's individually available for ordering!
Daily Driver: (X1E3) X1 Extreme 3rd Gen | mobile broadband (WWAN)
Current Thinkpads: X1E3 | X1E1 | X1C10 | X1C9 | X1C4 | X1C3 | X230
Retired Thinkpads: X250 | T410 | T42 | 560 (circa 1996)

They could've had my money with the proper keyboard layout. But I wasn't expecting such a move anyway...
