Connecting an IBM T221 to a P53 - some questions

#1 Post by H-Atkinson » Sun Apr 25, 2021 8:00 pm

I recently was able to get a T221 (DGP model, so the Japanese DG5 with 2 converter boxes) and have been trying to get it to run on my P53. I'm using the Thinkpad Thunderbolt Workstation Dock II (which has 2x displayport outputs on it) and my machine has a Quadro RTX 4000 in it. For whatever reason, the machine doesn't recognize that the outputs should be 1920x2400 each, and instead tries to display 1920x1200 on each one. I've already tried using CRU, but somehow this made it worse, and shrunk my max res to 2x 16:10 1024p signals.

I know the monitor works fine since it runs correctly on both my T61p using a Matrox card in a docking station and on my desktop using an older ATI card with 2x dual DVI-I outputs. Any ideas as to why the Quadro driver isn't playing nicely with it? I'm stumped at this point.

Many more as well!
