Lenovo P50 BIOS delete Fingerprints after changing the HDD

#1 Post by bishop » Tue Oct 05, 2021 9:42 am

Hallo,
Windows 10 and Windows 11 are working fine on P50, but when i change the HDD, the BIOS delete alle the Fingerprints, i think , this is a BIOS Bug, on my Lenovo T500, W500, i can change any HDD, equal Win7, Win10, Win11.
what a crap that can be ?, :)
I have Windows 10 19044.1237 and Win11 22000.194
BIOS is up to date. Version 1.65.
I have a power on password, hard disk passwords, a BIOS password and the Windows logon passwords, set in the BIOS under fingerprint that I confirm all passwords by fingerprint, so I don't have to type in the passwords, that works as long as I don't change the hard disk.
Only the bios password must type manually, to edit the bios settings.
Strangely enough, I have to set up the fingerprints again every time in win 10 and win 11. I hope the google translator translate it good. :)
