P1 5th gen - Swapping keyboard with WWan antenna for keyboard without Wwan. Possible?

Hi Thinkpadders!
Long story short. I just bought a Thinkpad P1 5th gen with a US keyboard which I want to swap for a nordic one. However, the nordic ones seem to be in short supply + very expensive. I discovered (didn't notice when buying) I have a WWAN card in the machine and this seems to use some kind of antenna installed in the (C-cover) keyboard bezel.
NonWW keyboards are in stock and cheaper, so I was thinking - what will happen if I install a C-cover without the antenna? Are the antennas (are they just cables or..?) simply detachable, can I somehow mount them to this cover anyway or..?
Also - using a keyboard supplied by another company (Chinony/Sunrex/Liteon) should be possible, or?
Thanks for any input
