P1 5th gen - Swapping keyboard with WWan antenna for keyboard without Wwan. Possible?

Hi Thinkpadders!

Long story short. I just bought a Thinkpad P1 5th gen with a US keyboard which I want to swap for a nordic one. However, the nordic ones seem to be in short supply + very expensive. I discovered (didn't notice when buying) I have a WWAN card in the machine and this seems to use some kind of antenna installed in the (C-cover) keyboard bezel.

NonWW keyboards are in stock and cheaper, so I was thinking - what will happen if I install a C-cover without the antenna? Are the antennas (are they just cables or..?) simply detachable, can I somehow mount them to this cover anyway or..? :help: Also - using a keyboard supplied by another company (Chinony/Sunrex/Liteon) should be possible, or?

Thanks for any input :)

The parts are completely different, the magnesium castings are not the same. The antennas are in the corner under either palmrest, and on the WWAN version, those segments are plastic, and the antennas go on top of them. The antennas are a separate part, but you cannot install them onto a non-WWAN C-cover.

Keyboard manufacturer shouldn't matter, they're all intended to be interchangeable.
