I was looking to put a 4k oled in my p14s gen2. Right now I have a 30pin cable / lcd. I have another machine that needs a LCD so I was going to swap mine out and upgrade mine. I was looking on ebay for a 40pin cable, and they are really expensive for what they are.

I swear these have to be the same thing maybe just different PNs.

Does anyone know?

AFAIK there are two different (and incompatible) types of 40-pin eDP LCD cables (not specifically for the P14s): FHD with touch, and 4K. Unfortunately, since the FRU lists aren't published anymore as PDF files, it's become harder to find the actual part numbers and which ones are possibly interchangeable. :(

The old FRU-list (.pdf) has been turned into FRU-Excel-spreadshit (.xlsx), with a lot of useless info.
