3k screen in P52

Hi everyone.
Does someone have experience with putting the 3k display of a T540p (or W540 etc) in a P52 (or P50 etc)? Both mechanically, since I think the display in the T540p uses screws and the one in the P52 is glued, and electrically, in terms of the 40 pin (I think?) eDP connector. It's more of an experiment, since I could just upgrade to the 4k, but I think the resolution is to high for a 15 inch display and I suppose the power consumption is higher.
