Undervolting Zen 3 Thinkpads (T495)?

#1 Post by Big McLargeHuge » Tue Oct 01, 2024 7:27 pm

I've read T495 performance is hamstrung a bit by overly-conservative thermal control settings and limits on users access to these settings. A few reddit posts mention a BIOS mod that provides improved access to CPU settings to configure it to one's liking. What I've not found much info on though is how doable CPU undervolting is on this model. There's a few mentions of the fact you can't use Throttlestop but I haven't come across any info about how to enable undervolting, however I'm sure where there's a will there's a way!
