T14 AMD Gen 3 screen & keyboard replacement

Has anyone replaced/upgraded the screen on T14? Is this video accurate? Cos hacking at my brand new laptop is a little off-putting

also if anyone could confirm that I have identified the correct 1920x1200 400 nit low-power screen I would like some confidence before I purchase and then butcher my nice new laptop

Longshot, but can I replace the keyboard with the 1.8mm travel keyboard from gen2 T14?

Yea, I'd say that looks about right.
It's been a while since I replaced a screen, but back then there were a lot of knock offs floating around with the correct part number on them, but were not the genuine part, so sometimes getting the right one could be tricky. I liked to buy on eBay because it's pretty easy to dispute if it's not as described. You could post here too in the Marketplace forum where sellers tend to be much more forthright.
Even if the better keyboard fits, I'd be concerned about the keys or stick touching the screen. Notebooks are so thin and light these days, every mm counts.
From financial and anxiety of replacing the screen, which is not a beginner friendly job, you might be better served selling or if possible returning your gen 3 for a gen 2 if that's more in line with what you want. The performance difference will be negligible. If you want the low power screen it was offered on the AMD L14s as well, which might save you a few bucks if you can find one and the L14 has two memory open slots for upgrades as opposed to one on the T14.

The T will likely offer you a better screen option(s). It'll be marginally slimmer and lighter. It will be built to a slightly higher standard, but regardless of which you get, either will likely give you years of faithful service without complaint. If you have a problem down the road it's probably more dumb luck than anything else.
