Ubuntu v 11+ on Virtual Box Need Help!
Has anyone done this successfully on an x201? Should be no problem but ran into some issues and want to know if you have any (or are aware of any websites) with detailed step by step instructions. Already got Virtual Box installed with no problem but the install of Ubuntu was not smooth so I ditched it for now. Thanks!

hi,
if I were you would install vmware player
it's free and much user friendly than virtual box
besides it's full compatible with ubuntu
I used it lot of time with no issues
about installing ubuntu on the vmware player
all you need to do is just customize it like network connection, printer etc
rgds

Re: Ubuntu v 11+ on Virtual Box Need Help!
I have Ubuntu running in VirtualBox on a w520 (sorry, no experience with x201).
Burnt a LiveDVD iso image, ran this first after VB install, then selected install to HD option whilst in Ubuntu. Once complete, display and other functionality not quite right, so the guest additions must be installed. Very easy, link right from the menu bar.
No complaints so far, seems to run very well.
