charge vs energy in /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/

#1 Post by JamieKitson » Tue Nov 29, 2011 5:23 am

Hi,

if boot with AC plugged in the /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/ directory is populated with charge_*, but if I boot on battery the directory is populated with energy_*. Is this true for everyone? I'm running a Thinkpad X220.

btw, (un)plugging AC while running does not alter the file names.

Thanks, Jamie

What distro are you running and which version is it? There are a few of us who could help you with the question (myself included) but we need to know that at least.
ThinkPads:
Eureka: X200s (7470-5HU), Arch Linux
Mirandra: T22 (Unknown), Arch Linux (deceased)
