Hi all
Is there a program for ubuntu which lets me control the fan and lists current temperatures?
My t60 gets very hot when watching video. The fan spins, but it seems it is on a slow speed and not adequate for higher CPU use.
Thanks.

It's easy to install and quite user friendly. I was monitoring the temps of my T60p with it during the last days. You have to install the three packages listed

Just download them into a folder on your laptop (default directory should be "Downloads")
Then just double-click each file in the order specified

Does it require
thinkpad_acpi module loaded with fan_control=1?
If yes, how can I do this? What file is put where?

Have you re-boot the laptop after the installation? That parameter should actually be installed automatically.
