has anyone ran airsnort??

has any one ran airsnort on their TP?? I tryed using a dell I had laying around but, the wireless network card wouldn't go into monitor mode...will a the TP minipci card go into monitor mode or does anyone know??

what distro are you using? I have it running on my x24 with an orinoco gold card.......It takes a the right walkthrough and a little black magic (chicken bones and the like help) to get it going. Nice when it works though :P

I've run airsnort and kismet. Wireless card model xi325. Prism2 chipset, hostap driver

I used the intel ipw 2100 wireless card in monitor mode on my T41, works very well. Unfortunately, "b" only. Since then, I upgraded to the intel 2195 abg. This card is supported by the ipw2200 driver, but monitor mode is not implemented yet. From what I gathered on the mailinglist, the intel engineers are still working on that.
