Linux Wary won't install on A20m, other distro suggestions?

Greetings,

I ran Puppy Linux (Wary version) from a CD on my A20m and it ran fine - even got online using the wireless card!

But, when I tried to install Wary to the hard drive, it didn't work. It didn't recognize the hard drive. At first I thought this might be due to not enough free space, with Windows98 already on the disc, so I formatted C. But, Wary still refused to install!

Then, the system refused to load anything from the CD! I had to make a Plop Boot Manager floppy and then I was able to boot Wary from the USB.

But, Wary still won't install to the hard drive! That's ok in the end, as I don't think it's going to be a good choce, as it has no "sleep" option, and I like having that.

So, I'm looking for another Linux distro that would work well on a machine of this slow speed (500Mhz) and limited resources (128 RAM).

Any suggestions for a lightweight Linux that will run a wireless card on an A20M? Zorin lite?

Update: I have been able to install Dam* Small Linux on this machine and it runs nice and fast! There are 2 issues with this: no suspend/resume function, and no USB support. Does anyone know how to solve these?

I have used Vector linux, http://vectorlinux.com/, on a similar spec'd Toshiba and all was well. Running it now on a T40 and an X41t.

Debian?

I have run Wheezy on machines as old as pentium 2s. #! works well too.
