Edge S430 Fan control problem!

#1 Post by 84matte84 » Wed Jul 03, 2013 7:59 pm

Hi guys!
I'm new to this forum and I'm also desperate!!!!

I follow all the possible giudes found in google but no one worked for me...

I loaded the thinkpad_acpi module with fancontrol=1 and experimental=1
I installed thinkfan and I also tried with tpfand...

Now my configuration of thinkfan is the following

sensor /sys/devices/platform/coretemp.0/temp1_input
sensor /sys/devices/platform/coretemp.0/temp2_input
sensor /sys/devices/platform/coretemp.0/temp3_input
#sensor /sys/devices/virtual/hwmon/hwmon0/temp1_input

(0, 0, 30)
(1, 30, 35)
(2, 35, 40)
(3, 40, 45)
(4, 45, 50)
(5, 55, 65)
(7, 65, 32767)

But even if the temperature are the following

matteo@MatS430:~$ sensors
acpitz-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1: +29.8°C (crit = +100.0°C)

coretemp-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
Physical id 0: +55.0°C (high = +87.0°C, crit = +105.0°C)
Core 0: +55.0°C (high = +87.0°C, crit = +105.0°C)
Core 1: +52.0°C (high = +87.0°C, crit = +105.0°C)

thinkpad-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
fan1: 0 RPM

My FAN ia always idle and my laptop is running hot all the time...
What can I do to fix it?

I will really appreciate your help!!!
