HP f2304 - DVI @ 1920x1200

#1 Post by JonLech » Fri May 27, 2005 7:57 pm

I recently struggled to get a HP f2304 working with my T42p over DVI at 1920x1200. I figured I'd post the solution here for others to see.

The following modeline must be added to xorg.conf:
154.00 1920 1968 2000 2080 1200 1203 1209 1235 +HSync -Vsync

Note that this is with the open source radeon driver. I was unable to get DVI output working at any resolution with the latest version of the fglrx ATI driver.

An update:

I've installed the new version of the ATI fglrx driver. DVI output works and there is no need to add the modeline for 1920x1200.

Just installed the newest fglrx drivers too, my Samsung SyncMaster 213T works like a charm at the DVI port with UXGA resolution :)

The difference is like between day and night... just incredible how bad that vga signal over the standard port must be.
