freeze on wakeup from suspend: Ubuntu 16.04lts on T460s?

#1 Post by awallin55 » Mon Apr 25, 2016 2:42 am

Installed Ubuntu 16.04lts on a new T460s - most things seem to work fine.

However when closing the lid it goes into suspend, and when opening the lid again the mouse and keyboard work for a second or two but then freeze completely.
The only thing that works is a hard reset by holding down the powerbutton.

the machine is a 20F9-0045MS

$ uname -r
4.4.0-21-generic
$ lspci | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Sky Lake Integrated Graphics (rev 07)

anyone else with this problem? google fins similar-ish reports but didn't find a clear description for a fix yet.

Same issue but on a MacBook Air 11 2013 (Haswell). From what I've read a Kernel up or downgrade might help.
Daily: Custom Mini-ITX (Ryzen 5, A2000 12GB, 3:2)
ThinkPads: 600X (i3), A31p (FlexView), T43, T60 (FlexView), T61p (4:3), R61 (QXGA), X301 (AFFS), W500, X1
