DynamicClocks on a T43p with ATI v3200?

#1 Post by dmitri » Mon Jul 11, 2005 11:16 am

Has anyone had any success getting DynamicClock working on a T43 with the ATI V3200 card?

Xorg seems to load it fine:

Code: Select all

# grep Dynamic /var/log/Xorg.0.log
(**) RADEON(0): Option "DynamicClocks" "on"
(II) RADEON(0): Dynamic Clock Scaling Enabled
However, the GPU temperature (as reported in /proc/acpi/ibm/thermal) never drops below 57C.

As a result, my fan never turns off, and I get pretty lousy battery life...
