I have two T550's which are configured identically. On one, I was able to upgrade the bios from n11et34w (08/15) to n11ur20w (04/20). On the other, I get the following error: "secure flash upgrade failed". I created the USB using the following method:
1. geteltorito -o bios.img n11ur20w.iso
2. sudo dd if=bios.img of=/dev/sdb bs=64K

Does anyone have any idea why one would update but the other fails?

Same USB stick? Same version to upgrade from?

Yes, same version originally, same USB stick.

Maybe it has a BIOS setting preventing BIOS flashes?
