I've just installed Ubuntu on my thinkpad x250 and I'm currently impressed on speed and reliability with Ubuntu on the x260.. I'm trying to get away from windows 10 if I don't need it for a specific task or program but one thing I've found out so far is that audio is horrible on Ubuntu... how can I make audio louder? seems to be loud on windows 10 but quiet in ubuntu and distorted if volume is moved past 100%.. how can I fix this for start? it's working great otherwise

this feels like a specific ubuntu/desktop environment related issue... as the sound is working, but it seems too soft, I would visit ubuntu community to look for a solution. having no sound at all would be kernel related. your issue is different. which desktop environment do you use? does ubuntu use pulseaudio? would try to get in touch with x260 ubuntu users... hopefully we have some here as well?
