I have a T43 with openSUSE 10.0 installed. Although the OS detects my wireless card, it doesn't seem to be able to activate it (turn it on, at least). Can anyone give me pointers to installing ipw2200?
Thanks.

Get the firmware from http://ipw2200.sf.net. I don't think that SuSE ships with the firmware. Thats probably the error that you would have seen if you had looked into /var/log/messages.
you must mean OpenSuSE...Volker wrote:Get the firmware from http://ipw2200.sf.net. I don't think that SuSE ships with the firmware. Thats probably the error that you would have seen if you had looked into /var/log/messages.
I'm 99% sure that normal retail SuSE includes all the propriatary drivers available. The suse 9.3 pro install even detected/installed my winmodem.
