Suse 9.3 on T42p

#1 Post by rssb » Wed Nov 30, 2005 2:27 pm

Hello,
I downloaded Suse 9.3 and tried an install on my T42p, it seemed to have gone smoothly but there are lot of unrecognized devices,

IBM BIOS, M10 GL , lot of other system devices which would normally show up under system category in windows device manager.

The wireless card worked but it it works only with OPEN Wifi , if i try to connect to a WPA-PSK , it does not work. Is there any way to get the WPA-PSK to work.

The most important thing is the video card, I tried the ATI binary and installed the rpm created from the auto run script. It now shows up all kinds of newer graphic cards, including the PCI Express X300 etc when I try to choose in Yast but there is no Fire GL T2, or even mobility radeon 9600 atleast. Any suggestions what can be done here. Currently it recognizes it as RV350 NT. Seems like it has no acceleration and display is all garpled when you switch between non gui and gui modes.

thanks
