Trackpoint and PS/2 mouse with wheel

#1 Post by BigCatAndy » Sun Jan 29, 2006 2:02 pm

Hello!

I'm trying to configure the Debian Sarge distribution on my TP 600x. Usually it is sitting on the port replicator, where I have keyboard and PS/2 mouse with a wheel connected. For the travelling I use trackpoint.

So, my problem is that I cannot set up the wheel AND the trackpint at the same time. I can either use Trackpoint - saying that my mouse model is "PS/2", and in this case I cannot scroll with the wheel, or the wheel - by saying that my mouse model is "InPS/2" (or something like that), and in this case I cannot use trackpoint - it jumps rather haotically and tries to stay in the left bottom corner (the behaviour is described on the ThinkWiki-page). Is there any way to enforce the wheel to work even with properly working trackpoint?

I will appreciate any help.

Regards,
Andrey.
