Whenever I try an install with a recent 2.6 kernel on my R30, I get errors along the lines of "hdc: lost interrupt" and problems with irq 15. One solution I have seen is to append "irqpoll" when booting up -- however, for me the only effect is that the kernel can no longer see my CD drive.
Bizarrely, there are no problems with earlier distributions and their earlier (2.6 series) kernels.
If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it as this is doing a number on my head. I'm currently stuck running Linspire 4, which is just dreadful.
