What is a good Linux distro that will work right out of the box for a T43 2668-83U?

Thanks

I wish new users would spend atleast 1 hour online reading docs, searching forums, and even just sitting there reading how people get help on irc.freenode.net

For distro's hit up distrowatch.com. My personal favorites(work well on thinkpad t42)=(k)ubuntu, debian, archlinux. I personally hear fedora is making some good strides.

Also gonna pull a nonny here and refer to the FAQ. Some good links there, expect to spend a couple nights a week learning about various software. Dont be discouraged and you'll be a better user.

Also, to the powers that be [ops?]. Anyone thought of creating a #thinkpads or thinkpads.com channel on freenode might be a better forum for getting live help with certain issues and just be a nice social channel to bash Dells :P

These are some SMAR TEE ideas; and I like that one, Pull a Nonny. :)

There are already some IRC spots out there for Thinkpads; but, at least when I was on them, they seemed somewhat dead.

Maybe I can look into getting an IRC up and running.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
