I have a small HDD (2.1Gb) that has an Ubuntu load on it. I'm finished with that experiment and would like to use it on some old Windows machines, but the disk won't recognize in an Ultrabay 2000 HDD adapter. Can somebody tell me what I need to do to initialize/format this disk back to something I can use... like FAT 32? Thanks

Hi there.

Have you tried to use a livecd of Ubuntu to wipe and repartition the drive, and then canceling the install process? You might also be able to repartition the drive and use whatever journal system you would like. Ive done this before wiht my drives. This is what I would try first.

HTH,
Brian.
