thinkpad T60(200766U) VGA out: Fn+F7 under Ubuntu 6.10
Does anyone know how to get the Fn+F7 work under Ubuntu Edgy? My T60 has SXGA+ screen and ATI X1400 video card. The latest ATI driver 8.30.3 is installed, and I also have the kmile-legacy, thinkpad-base, tpb and tpctl packages installed, but Fn+F7 doesn't do anything. The only way I can get VGA out is to plugin the D-sub and restart X, which is not very convenient.

Can I simply swap out my T5500 CPU in my 1953CTO T60 with a T5600? Or my T2400 core duo in my 2623D6U T60?
