First impressions: Semi-success running Xubuntu in X24!

Hello All,
I finally got a deal in ebay for a X24. Not in the best shape that I'd love to have it, but good enough. I'm working on it, and might exchange some parts of it. It's functional though.
Since it came with a semi-clean Windows XP installation (not the original IBM so no chace to create recovery CD's), I decided to wipe out the OS, and install Windows XP again. After a day, I re-think on my poor decision, and decided to install an OS that really works (just joking here JD Hurst, don't want to start a war of the worlds here, eh?!
), the new Xubuntu version!!!
I didn't measure the time precisely, but I will say that it took about 30 to 45 min to install it. It's very fast booting, and shutting down. I haven't tested all, but so far it seems to work OK out of the box.
I've a ur054g(r01) v1.1 wireless dongle that I want to use, at least until I get a 3COM XJACK Wireless PC Card. This has been a little of a problem, something that I'm trying to solve with Ubuntu forums, but still working on it.
I've had some issues with the multimedia, but I imagine must be some codecs issues I will solve shortly.
I keep it posted!!
Luck to all, save the world!
