Freespire/TPad (23) users?

I've been absorbing everything I can these past couple of months when I started using Linux on my TPad. Now I'd like to share what I've learned with others using the same setup.

I have a couple of hard drives I use with my T23... one loaded with freespire and the other with WinXP which I needed for my tax program (please get with Linux TurboTax!). Swapping them down from my T23 to the T20 I keep in my PA house does not work with WinXP (blue screen of death) , but incrediby freespire (my fave OS) makes the switch without any problems.
Everything works fine except trying to go online. With the T20 freespire cannot locate my modem. BUMMER! In order to work with the T20 I'm stuck with using an extra WinXP hard drive I had to set up for the T20.
Anyone have any experience with this annoyance?

looks like several different modems were available for
the t20: if you have

Xircom Mini-PCI V.90 56k Modem

perhaps I can help: that one works in this t22 debian 3.1

I bid on and "won" a PCMCIA modem (ebaY) to take care of this.... I'm guessing it will work. Thanks.
