Hello everyone,

I've recently installed FC6 on my T43, and have noticed that the cpu is running at only 800 MHz instead of the maximum 2GHz.

Is there a way to up the CPU speed to maximum when running on AC, and having the "underclocked" mode working when on battery?

Got it working after installing a new kernel (i686) and following some instructions from thinkwiki.

While it is possible to change the governor, I think it is counterproductive in most usage scenarios. By default the cpu will switch to full speed if necessary. Running always at full throttle just gives you more fan noise.
