battery indicator in gnome in fc2

Can anyone guide me through activating this? I've tried googling for it and I've only come across the batt indicator for kde.

right-click on the panel where you want it to appear, choose Add To Panel -> Utility -> Battery Monitor. If everything is set up correctly, it should just work.
