Suspending with FGLRX and 2.6.22

#1 Post by Peaceable Frood » Wed Jul 11, 2007 11:03 pm

I'm using Ubuntu Gutsy and using the 2.6.22-7 kernel with fglrx on my z61m loaded I can't get my laptop to suspend, it just gives a black screen with a blinking cursor in the top left corner and at best a powered down screen with a blinking moon. Under 2.6.20-16, it suspends and resumes flawlessly. Syslog makes no mention of a suspend under 2.6.22-7 but reports the suspend and resume under 2.6.20-16. Anyone have an issue like this. My google seaches haven't turned up anything for 2.6.22 except for a USB suspend hang which was fixed.

You may want to try disabling powernowd during suspend, as described here:

It worked on my feisty box, so it might work on your gutsy too.
