Suspend X40 w/Fedora Core 2

#1 Post by ldbobby » Wed Oct 20, 2004 3:31 pm

I'm just curious if anyone has gotten this to work correctly with this combination. Either APM or ACPI is fine. With ACPI off and APM on, my computer will suspend, but when I open the lid or press the FN key(if lid is already open), the screen's back light comes on, but nothing is shown. And it seems as if both the trackpoint and keyboard has frozen. Thanks for any help provided.

you need to set this kernel parameter

acpi_sleep=s3_bios

should help

I'm dual booting wxp and fc2, fc2 suspends and recovers say 95% of the time . . . not quite sure what the remainder of the problem is . . .

Maybe FC3 will help?

Anybody tried this yet?
