I have installed Yoper O.S. (Linux), and I must say that YES it is really Fast! Let me say it again FAST!
I have posted on the Yoper forum but not had much feedback, so I was wondering if anybody here may be able to assist me !
I am having trouble connecting to the web. The 1st time I booted it worked a treat! Was able to surf no problem. Since then, i havent had much luck.
I have found network table overflow problem . . . see link below:
Are there some commands I can type in terminal to sort out this?
Any help appreciated!
BTW: Mandrake 10 and Fedora Core 2 both connected to the web with the same setup with no problems........ Can I configure the connection in Terminal?
If I need to post any setup files here, pls let mek now Exactly which ones, as I am still new to Linux
Many Thanks

Ethernet setup: Please . . .
To open,
What thinkpad are you using? What linux kernel does your version of yoper use? What type of connectivity are you using ethernet, wifi, bluetooth, etc?
I have never used yoper, however, the link you supplied does not work i.e. I cannot research whether your problem is inimical to yoper and your thinkpad or not. The the yoper site says it is a linux specifically created for performance that uses optimized compiler paths. Furthermore mandrake 10 and fedora core 2 work properly (both use generic kernels) I conclude the problem is yoper specific. In my mind that means that the version of yoper that you are using is unable to completely match your hardware. I suggest the you get your hands on a compilation package for yoper that lets you build a kernel for your hardware rather that using a precompiled one that is possibly specially tailored for a specific processor / hardware combination.

Hi
I believe the Yoper site is down due to them updating their servers
Their page says:
"We are in process of migrating earlier than planned to the new server infrastructure. The forum and all online services will be closed until then. This is needed to allow us to migrate the databases properly. We apologize for the Inconvenience. We will return stronger and most importantly with a redundant hardware and people setup
