Hi,

I have just installed ubuntu 7.04. First the ati x1400 graphics didn´t work, I have fixed that with the guide on ubuntu.com.

Now I wireless is not working. The wireless light doesn´t light up and is not avaiable in network manager. I wrote this message using a wired connection.

Another problem I have is the keyboard, I have to press the key twice for the ´ key and ` key for them to get detected. I checked the preferences, the keyboard model is currently set to ¨generic 101-key (Int)PC¨.

Thanks for your help!

Which wireless card do you have?

If it is intel 3945 you will need the restricted kernel modules package installed.

As far as the keyboard check to see if you have it set to international mode or something like that. If you have it set to US-english it shouldn't do that.

Good luck.

The Buntus (or the auto-detect software they
use) seem to auto use the Eng International
101- keyboard

setting. I found my T23s have more keyboard
use when I reset to an IBM TP keyboard setting,
even though the T2X (or TP beyond AXX) is not avalable.

Since a Danish forum reported that every key worked on the T23 under Ubuntu, I am upgrading from Xubuntu to Ubuntu. I suspect Gnome Desktop comes with more than three TP settings.

Look in your keyboard settings and try a IBM TP setting close to your laptop.

Are you using 7.04 feisty fawn?
