Installed Opensuse 10.3 with Vista Home Premium and dual boot enabled on my T61P, almost everything work except standby/hibernating(any suggestions?). Fingerprtiner not tested yet.
Now I'd like to installed VISTA with vmware in Opensuse, but I don't have vista installation discs, only 3 dvds I made for recovery( to factory status). Is it possible to use these dvds?

BTW, anyone has any ideas how smooth it is to run VISTA with vmware in OpenSUE 10.3?

Thanks

I cannot answer your questions directly because I do not have your products. However:
1. As I understand Vista, you need a proper licence for it. Trying to turn the OEM license from another computer into a virtual machine probably won't work. All my VM's have their own install CD's with keys that came with the CD's.
2. All my VM's work smoothly with XP Pro as the Host machine. That said, VMware provides its own video, audio, network, modem, CPU and other hardware drivers, so games (typically) do not work as well in VM's as they do in native machines. I don't run games, so I do not care about that.
