Fedora Core 8 on A31p-"special" keys not working

I've just installed FC8 on one of my A31p machines (2653-R5U) and everything pretty much worked out of the box, at least the stuff that I'm interested in. However, "special" keys are as dead as disco. Has anyone managed to get around this issue?

Not that I'm going to hang myself if I don't get these working, but it would be nice to have them.

What key's are you talking about? On my T61 the FN keys and volume keys work out of the box.

I apologize, should've been more precise: Fn keys work, it's the page forward-back-magnify-home-that are not doing anything.
