linux computer stealing ip from windows computer
I have a T60 running slackware 12 with an intel 3945 wireless card and the ipw3945 driver. Same problem exists with the iwl3945 driver. When I connect to the local wireless network dhclient steals the ip from a windows computer that has its ip configured statically. There is still several unused ips available for it to have but it doesn't connect to those. I don't know a lot about networking but I have been doing a lot of research and question asking about this but no one seems to have any idea about the problem. The problem didn't used to happen with the same configuration. I have even formated and reinstalled the operation system to no avail. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
