I have a T41 with the Cisco Aironet Wireless 802.11b installed on board. Ubuntu sees the device under the hardware testing menu, but the wireless card doesn't show in side the network manager. Have you had any luck with this device in Ubuntu 8.04?

I was also interested to see if any of you had the active hard drive protection working under Ubuntu. I tried installing it, but don't know how to start it.

I also have a docking station and don't know if there's docking station software for Ubuntu.

Thanks for your time and response.

Have you tried NDISWrapper? I had to use that to get wireless networking installed on a Sempron box with RealTek card.

I don't know if there's any docking software. The only issue I had when I had Gutsy on my R60 was the resolution of my monitor was different than my screen. It resulted in either the screen running at the wrong resolution or the picture not filling the screen. I fixed by editing xorg.conf.

My Cisco card just worked without me doing anything. HDAPS isn't as easy though (don't have it so I haven't tried).
