Linux mint settings in VMware?

Hi,

I'm trying to run Linux Mint inside VMware Workstation 6 in winXP on a 2007-FUG Thinkpad T60. Mounting the iso with deamon-tools. But i don't think i have the virtual machine settings correct set up.

Is anyone running linux mint in vmware? if yes, please share your settings. Ex. name of "guest operating system", amount of memory etc..

Why not burn the iso to a cd and boot to the cd? That would be much easier. Mint runs pretty good as a live cd. Then you could use the cd to install Mint in the VM if you wanted to.

Why waste resources burning a disc if you can get software to do everything?
