Scroll wheel on Bluetooth mouse in Debian

#1 Post by BigCatAndy » Thu Oct 16, 2008 2:02 pm

Hello, I recently bought new Lenovo Thinkpad BT mouse. In the sense of BT it works perfectly. But I cannot get the wheel working. The scroll wheel in the earlier version of it - wired one with USB connector - worked without any issue, but in BT-version I see no reaction. Any ideas?

Nonstandard button codes probably. See here, in particular the "6 7" part. Also, the xev tool might be helpful, it prints out all the input codes that happen in it's box.

thanks for the hint. I read somewhere (in some Ubuntu forum), that BlueZ has a bug - it doesn't catch the scrolling from the mouse. I started the xev, and saw nothing when moving the wheel/scrolling. In other cases the output was very intensive.

I think, I must wait until Sid becomes "stable". Than - hopefully - I'll get the wheel working. :-(

Cherrs,
Andrey.
