heat reading from gkrellm

#1 Post by liberte » Fri Nov 14, 2008 5:44 pm

Installed Gkrellm and enabled several temp checking routines. Looks like I'm getting:

CPU = 118.4 F
GPU (nvidia) = 123.8 F
HDD = 93.2 F
thermal zone 0 = 118.4F
thermal zone 1 = 98.6 F

Do these readings look ok?

Those temps look great. I have seen the CPU and GPU temps go over 190 deg. F on my T42 (I did have a fan problem at the time). The thinkpad has temperature sensors that shut down the system before damaging temperatures are reached.
