thinkpad w500 ubuntu and fingerprint reader?

anyone knows if it works with ubuntu 8.10 ?

i dont see it in lsusb output list:

during the configuration step at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ThinkFinger i get this error

seems the device is not detected at all

Our fingerprint reader uses AuthenTec USB device. There is no driver for it yet. Please see:
