Hi, has anyone successfully run Linux on an X30. I am particularly interested in the SuSe flavour.

Not on an X30 but I would recommend a download of the SuSE 9.0 or newly released 9.1 Live-eval CDs. These are a great way of seeing whether you like the distribution and whether there are any hardware issues without installing anything to your hard drive.
You will need a broadband connection, as the ISOs are 650MB or thereabouts and a CD burner. You can download the live evals from here:
ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/live-eval-9.0/
and
ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/live-cd-9.1/

Thanks dkpw. I am familiar with the SuSe distros. I've used it on and off since 6.0. I don't have a cd-drive for my X30 - do you think I can I run the Eval CD off a network?
