8.10 sluggish at window redrawing

#1 Post by madcow » Thu Feb 05, 2009 5:00 pm

It feels slow..on my x60 with 3 G of RAM.

Feels way slower than 8.04. Maybe I will go back to 8.04.

yes thats the same on my T42p with FireGL T2 and ATI Drivers running Kubuntu.
KDE4.1 on 8.10 feels sluggish compared to 8.04. Maybe one could switch off
the fancy 3D stuff, in order to accelerate it.
If it's Kubuntu you are using, think we'll have to wait for 9.04
