X61s extended life battery

So, I got an extended life battery which attaches to the bottom. When docking it, it did automatically switch to consume power from that one.

I could change to use the "internal" battery again by echoing a "1" to /sys/devices/platform/smapi/BAT0/force_discharge

But now, I don't know because of which update, or whatever reason, it shows the external battery but still just consumes from the internal.

echoing "1" to /sys/devices/platform/smapi/BAT1/force_discharge (BAT1 is the external) doesn't help, so I tried this:

echo 1 > /sys/devices/platform/smapi/BAT1/force_discharge && cat /sys/devices/platform/smapi/BAT1/force_discharge

I sometimes get a "1" and sometimes it's a "0" again and I don't know why......

There is something switching it back, either the tp_smapi driver or the batteries internal controller, or something else?

Anyone knows how to be able to switch the battery you want to consume from? It makes more sense to use the external first and then be able to remove it when it's nearly emptied.

I also don't want to drain any of the batteries down completely, as that is not good for their lifetime...

Dont know why but it works perfectly now...
