So I got everything mostly running on my X201...
I had to disable KMS to boot, and install this .deb which updated the realtek package to get fully functional wifi:
https://launchpad.net/~matt-price/+...27.2010_all.deb
A couple questions:
Since I had to disable KMS, I cannot turn on any visual effects (such as "real" transparency) in compiz. This normally wouldn't bother me, I don't need a flashy window manager, but several practical things (such as[ url=http://wiki.awn-project.org/index.php?title=Main_Page]Avant Window Manager[/url], or the expose like functionality built into compiz)
Am I just never going to be able to get that functionality since I had to disable KMS to get the integrated graphics to work?
no visual effects due to disabling KMS Ubutntu 10.04 on X201
