Has anyone tried Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) on a Thinkpad X301? Most of the online notes I have found are for older versions of Ubuntu. I would be glad to hear anyone's experiences.

Thanks a lot.

I'm running Lucid (amd64) on my X61 and everything works great right out of the box.
I had to look at ThinkWiki to get scrolling with the TrackPoint to work, but other than that, it's just install and go.

EDIT:
I should note that hibernate and suspend work fine and all of the hotkeys work right out of the box too. Boot time is fast enough that I probably won't bother with hibernate at all and I'll only use suspend when I'm literally rushing out the door. Sound, graphics (Compiz), bluetooth, and wireless all worked out of the box as well. If you're interested in seeing cycle counts on your battery then you'll have to install the 'tp-smapi-dkms' package. You'll find the info under '/sys/devices/platform/smapi/BAT0/'.

My specs:
Core2 Duo T8300 (2.4GHz)
4GB DDR2-667MHz (2x 2GB)
320GB 7200RPM HDD
Bluetooth (BDC-2.1)
Intel 4965AGN

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll give it a try.
